6TH QUICKLINKS

Mission Statement...
Our mission is to lead believers, individually and corporately,
to Glorify God by Touching the World for Christ.

It's not complicated, but it requires commitment...
"whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God"
             - 1 Corinthians 10:31

God receives glory (that is, highlighted so that no one can miss Him)
as we help each individual to know and receive His love.
Jesus prayed, "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one
as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let
the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
             - John 17:22-23

Vision Statement...
Our vision is that individuals across the street and across
the world, will be able to clearly see and know God because
we got involved.

Within our vision, you can see the values that guide our strategies of accomplishing the mission:
to act... "creatively"

Creativity honors the Creator, who Himself is ever creating and recreating. He has blessed us with skill, gifts, diversity, and imagination while wonderfully placing us within His family to reveal Himself to the watching, wonderful world.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up;
do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
             - Isaiah 43:18-19

to act... "strategically"

Acting with purpose is not random, though it may be spontaneous. As the Father has passed along to us His purpose and gifted us for His soul saving mission, we ought to act in step with His Holy Spirit---obediently in the moment, and strategically for the long term.
Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain
on tablets so that a herald may run with it."
             - Habakkuk 2:2

to act... "compassionately"

Where would we be if it weren't for the grace and mercy of God? As He has loved us, we likewise ought to love others---stepping into their areas of need to bring peace, love, hope, and joy.
We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar.
For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
             - 1 John 4:19-21

to sacrifice for... "generation next"

We will sacrifice for the sake of the next generation's exposure to, understanding of, and expression of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.
But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
             - Luke 18:16

to encourage... "dialogue"

We will engage in meaningful conversations with each other to "spur one another on toward love and good deeds" and to promote better understanding of faith and a Biblical worldview.
The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
             - John 4:9-10

to encourage... "community"

We will work toward building meaningful relationships more than merely building up our attendance.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another---and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
             - Hebrews 10:24-25

Our Strategy...
"He has shown you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
But to act justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God."
             - Micah 6:8

to serve means...
To act justly means to step into an area of injustice or need to bring about justice. Jesus Christ demonstrated this through his life as a servant leader.
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many."
             - Mark 10:45

to love means...
Grace begins relationship, mercy keeps us in relationship. Our love for God should overflow into a loving, supportive network of relationships with those who also love God--- and lead us to sacrificially love those that have not yet responded to God's love.
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
             - John 13:34-35

to pray means...
If our relationship with God is a walk, then prayer is the road. We're not only called to pray to God, but with and for one another.
"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray
for each other so that you may be healed."
             - James 5:16

"Pray continually..."
                   - 1 Thessalonians 5:17
