I never connected Christ's sacrifice to me personally until a friend told me about it in a letter. Knowing God was reaching out to me, even when I was only thinking about myself, helped me understand Christianity is not a "religion" but a love story.

Personally accepting Christ's death as my atonement for sin has helped me appreciate life, respect others, and given me purpose. Understanding the big-picture of why we are here makes the little things, like how I should live and act, so much easier to figure out.
